Today DBF passed the first major part of his training. Don't ask me to explain the details, but there are simulators with fake helicopters and landing and laughing and torpedos and stuff. He had pass two out of three simulations, and today he passed his second one.
This is a big milestone! Had he failed, they may have sent him home (which sounds great cuz he'd be here) and he would have had to restart again in December for an additional six months (not what we are after at all!).
Now he can relax for a couple of days before he starts his leave period for the next few weeks. 16 days til I get to see him! Yaaieeeeeee!!! Of course, after that he starts the "MEGA" phase....that doesn't sound much fun. :(
