Today's the Day...

...I leave for Halifax!! Wooohooooo!!

That's right, it's finally time to go visit my Sweetie! He's been gone about 9 weeks now and that's a long, long time! With my car woes and sore throat this week I miss him more than ever, so this trip couldn't have come at a better time. It's gonna be a long flight, but it's worth it!

Not to mention the fact that I really need a vacation. I can't remember the last time I took more than 3 or 4 days off work (well, Christmas, but that certainly wasn't a vacation!). I'm excited to see a new place, explore new things, and just relax and drive around with my honey. We haven't really planned anything, other than we want to drive the coast of Nova Scotia, maybe see Cape Breton and/or the Bay of Fundy, and drive the Confederation Bridge to PEI. Whatever we do, it will be together and relaxing and fun....and I can't wait!!

The second week I'm there DBF actually has to go back to school, so I will probably spend my days just wandering around Halifax and the waterfront, shopping and checking out local coffee shops. Eeek, there are only 4 Starbucks in all of Halifax so I'll be on a mission to find a good local latte!! We also plan to see a Shakespeare by the Sea performance (hopefully Taming of the Shrew!) and will check out the Citadel and maybe Alexander Keith's brewery.

On PEI I am hoping to spend some time just wandering around and exploring. We've heard about a great little microbrewery and pub in Charlottetown so that's definitely on the agenda. And probably checking out Cavendish and lounging on the beach for a while. Can't wait!!

Oh, and of course, I will be on the lookout for yummy fresh lobster and the ever-popular East Coast donair! DBF doesn't do seafood, but that doesn't mean that I can't load up on yummy shelfish while I'm there!!

I shall miss posting for you all, but will keep in touch when I can. Don't miss me toooooo much!!!

Happy Summer Everyone!
