Holy freaking windstorm, Batman!
I had a restless sleep last night. I kept dreaming that someone was breaking in to the house. There was weird creaking noises and occassional thumping and banging. The odd "thwack" and "crash" too. I dozed in and out all morning....figured I had just been thinking about Halloween too much or something.
Then a loud "bang" right as my alarm went off clued me in to the fact that I wasn't dreaming, there was something smashing around in the back yard. I dragged my tired ass out of bed, and sure enough....windstorm. Duh.
Looking out the bedroom window I couldn't see anything blowing around so couldn't figure out what was making all the racket. Then I wandered through the kitchen, only to see a big piece of gutter or flashing or whatever it is hanging off the back overhang. Hmmm....pretty sure that's not good. Then I went to look out the living room windows and sure enough there are about 8-10 pieces of the soffet laying on the back walk. OK, that's definitely not good.
The banging was the wind blowing the flashing into the siding every once in a while....plus pieces of the soffets are getting caught in the gusts and pushing up against the windows and siding as well.
Glad it's a rental! I've left housing a message and now it's their problem. WooT!
Oh, and there's a big piece of flashing in the front yard too, but I've looked around out there and can't figure out where it came from. Maybe it's from someone else's house....

WOw, I totally wouldn't be able to sleep during that!!!
Last night I was watching a show where someone was invisible and then my front door opened and NOBODY was there!!! Turns out it was Danny but he stopped to talk to the neighbour...still, CREEPY!!
ooooohhh...that is creepy!!
I have that movie for tonight actually. :)
