Ugh, so this is the not-fun part we were afraid of. The wait and see when the posting date is game. DBF asked today what the instructor thought would happen and he said he figures that they'll want him there BEFORE CHRISTMAS. Shut up! He's not even coming home from the course until at least the first week of November, more likely the second week...so they figure that they can get us there in like 5 weeks. Say what?!!
Apparently they don't consider things like the spouse's job, or the househunting, or just the time they are supposed to allow for us to get there. If I only offer my boss 4 weeks notice, he may not let me keep my job. Argh! And we want the driving time. If you drive out, they give like 12 days for it...so we'd have time to visit his son in Winnipeg and my brother in Montreal. Sounds like they are planning to just make everyone fly out. Lame! Not to mention that buying a house would be pretty difficult...closing times in Halifax are sometimes a couple of months, so I highly doubt we're gonna close a good one in like 3 weeks.
But I am getting ahead of myself. Nothing is confirmed. However, everything else that was rumoured up until this point came true...so I figure this is probably how it will go down.
My positive attitude just got a little rained on so I'm gonna sit here and grump for a while. Bastards wanna make me miss Christmas with my family....we're gonna have a few things to say about that!
