The First %^&$ing Snow of the Season

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Snow. Disgusting, gloppy, wet, sideways snow. If it has to snow, why can't it be the crisp, fluffy, fun kind? I hope this isn't what Halifax snow is usually like. :(

Yesterday it snowed lightly for about 4 hours, but it took 2 hours for it to even start sticking so when I first started taking pictures you couldn't even see it.

By the time I went out to get the mail at the end of the day, there was a pretty dusting of it laying on the lawn.

Then it rained all night and this morning we were back to the madass sideways crazy Halifax rain. At 1:30 today I was making lunch and grimacing at the shitty rain....then I got on a conference call and I guess I didn't look out the window, because at the end of that call 2 hours later there was an inch of snow on the ground and no sign of stopping just yet.

But it's not pretty or fluffy or fun. It's still windy as shit, and the snow is more like thick slush being thrown from the sky at full force. Boooo to the crappiest driving conditions ever. Blech. (I get snow tires on Friday....I'm sure Mother Nature must be smiting me since she dropped this crap two days before I got prepared...bugger!)

Why all the hate?
You just have to embrace the weather :)

We got about a foot of snow out our way, it just kept getting worse, the closer I got to home - brutal. Our driveway is 300 feet long - thank god hubby got a plow hooked up to the 4 wheeler!
